Isn't it amazing what a coat of paint can do? I picked this stool up for a few dollars at a junk shop. Someone had, ahem, artfully painted vine-like lines up the legs. I sanded it down and re-painted it with high gloss black, and I'm thrilled with the results.
Where do you do all this sanding down and repainting? Not in your apartment?
