I clipped this article about the renovation of a 1903 tenement out of New York magazine last year because I liked the looks of the apartment. Upon revisiting the photos, I was struck by how clever the book storage is in this apartment. Books are wedged in everywhere, but they don't overwhelm the space. Take a peek. I especially love the high shelves right next to the ceiling.

You should create some of those high shelves near your ceilings!
We had those ceiling shelves in the Elizabeth Street apt. They were great.
